Our Basic Dairy Farm Management program of 6 days covers essential topics for individuals looking to gain expertise in dairy farm operations:

  • Good Milking Practices and Milk Quality: Participants will learn about proper milking techniques, milk handling, and quality control measures to ensure high-quality milk production.
  • Forage Production and Nutrition: This module focuses on forage production, including crop selection, harvesting, and storage techniques, as well as nutrition management for optimal herd health and performance.
  • Young Stock Management: Participants will acquire knowledge on the management practices specific to young stock, including nutrition, housing, and health care, to promote their healthy growth and development.
  • Breeding, A.I./P.D., Animal Health: This segment covers breeding strategies, artificial insemination, pregnancy diagnosis, and overall animal health management, ensuring optimal reproduction and herd health.
  • Management and Economics: Participants will learn about effective farm management techniques, including financial planning, record-keeping, and decision-making, to optimize productivity and profitability.
  • Housing: This module explores the principles of housing design and management, including ventilation, space allocation, and cow comfort, to provide a conducive environment for the herd.
  • One Day Field Visits: Participants will have the opportunity to visit operational dairy farms, gaining practical insights and learning from industry experts in real-world settings.

 

In our 4-day Basic Didactical Training, we focus on enhancing participants’ teaching skills:

  • Explanation of Blended Training Approach: Participants will understand the benefits and techniques of blended learning, combining traditional methods with e-learning resources for an effective training approach.
  • Didactical Principles in Practical Training: This module covers effective teaching principles and strategies for practical training sessions, ensuring effective knowledge transfer to students.
  • Training of Skills: Participants will learn how to train individuals in practical dairy farming skills, emphasizing hands-on demonstrations and practice.
  • Execution of Practical Training: This segment guides trainers in planning and conducting practical training sessions, ensuring effective learning outcomes.
  • Development of a Lesson Plan: Trainers will gain skills in creating structured lesson plans that incorporate theoretical and practical components for a comprehensive training experience.
  • Examination of Students: Participants will learn methods to assess and evaluate students’ performance to measure their progress and knowledge retention.
  • Use of E-Learning: This module explores the integration of e-learning tools and resources to enhance training effectiveness and engage learners.

Acknowledgement: Certificate as a trainer

Entry level: Certificate level with minimum of 3 years practical experience in the dairy sector; good knowledge of the English language, both written and oral.
